Suggestions
- 📌Interest makes up 65.3% of your projected corpus — compounding does most of the work over 28 years.
- 📌₹2.22 Cr at 58 is worth about ₹43.38 L in today's money (at 6% inflation).
- 💡Contributing 2% more through VPF (₹800/month to start) would add ₹18.24 L at retirement.
- 📌The pension part (EPS) could pay about ₹6,000/month from 58 — pensionable salary (capped at ₹15,000) × years of service ÷ 70.
- 📌At 8.25%, EPF currently earns more than PPF (7.1%) and a 5-year bank FD (6.05%).

How it's calculated
- You contribute 12% of basic + DA (more with VPF). Your employer contributes 12%, of which 8.33% on wages up to ₹15,000 goes to the pension scheme (EPS).
- Interest is calculated on the monthly running balance and credited once a year, as EPFO does.
- EPS pension estimate = pensionable salary (max ₹15,000) × years of service ÷ 70, available with 10+ years of service.
- Future EPF rates are assumed to equal today's declared rate; inflation of 6% is used to show today's value.
